I really wanted to improve my photography. This time, I actually made an effort to understand my dSLR camera better, and it's manual properties. I also decided I would make my own "reflectors" (by using aluminum foil), so the light is more evenly distributed on the food. So how do you think it turned out?
I obviously need A LOT more practice and skill to get to the level of taking flawless pictures like most food bloggers, but for now I am content with my results. On a scale of 1-10, I would say my food photography is at about a 5. Could be worse, could be better.
Anyways, about the cheesecake already! The "dessert of the week" as my family likes to call it this week, are blueberry cheesecake bars! I love summer blueberries, and mixing them with the rich, sweet, tang of cream cheese is well, perfect! These consist of a layer of shortbread crust, a cheesecake layer, and then of course fresh blueberries! The recipe can be found here: Blueberry Cheesecake Recipe
